All elements of Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cell (PBMC) processing following blood collection at clinical locations are managed, from the PBMC isolation and storage to their domestic or international transportation.
Blood samples are collected from study participants at numerous accredited clinical locations. The samples then undergo transportation to the nearest PK4 laboratory for immediate processing. The process includes isolation, counting, and preparation of PBMCs for cryopreservation. Notably, PK4 provides both manual PBMC isolation using density gradient media and magnetic cell separation and isolation techniques.
Each PK4 facility within the network is equipped with advanced storage systems designed to sustain temperatures of -20°C and -80°C, alongside liquid nitrogen storage capabilities. These systems adhere strictly to clinical standards for short-term and prolonged storage, ensuring optimal conditions for samples.
Upon request, samples can be shipped anywhere in the world. Shipments may be arranged through a comprehensive selection of courier services to meet client requirements.
We offer flexibility with scheduling deliveries to suit your specific needs, ensuring deliveries arrive when required.
We collaborate with clinical sites that are just beginning their journey with PBMC processing, as well as with numerous long-standing sponsors. Regardless of your specific requirements, we're eager to engage in a conversation and devise a strategy that aligns with your company's needs.
